Why Industrial Technology

The Industrial Technology Associate of Applied Science and Certificate programs prepare you for a variety of entry to mid-level technician and/or operator positions in various industrial settings.

You will learn skills in technical graphics, safety, AutoCAD, and computer literacy as well as skills in one or more industrial areas such as: automation technology, building or facilities maintenance, construction, design and fabrication, electronics, renewable energy, technical management, and/or welding.

Heartland Community College is excited to partner with Mid Central Community Action to bring Building Maintenance and Construction Skills certificate programs to our community.

These programs can be completed in just two semesters, getting you out quickly into the workforce. Or, you can decide to further your education and apply these courses toward the Industrial Technology Certificate or the Industrial Technology Associate of Applied Science degree.

Classes will be conveniently held at Mid Central Community Action, 1301 W. Washington St. in Bloomington. Financial assistance may be available to help you reach your goals.
